How to make your kitchen seem new again

Most people have one room in their house that shows the wear and tear of use much more than the others. Many homeowners put little effort into cleaning this room because they know it will be back to its original condition soon anyway, so why bother? But what if there was an easy way to keep your kitchens bangor looking new? Now there is! Follow these simple steps to clean your kitchen once and keep it that way all the time. You’ll be glad you did!

1) Replace those dull cabinet doors

If you’re short on cash, replacing cabinet doors is a great way to breathe life into your space. A nice paint job can take years off cabinets and even get rid of unsightly stains, plus it’s one of those projects that’s easy enough for a DIYer without too much practice (and heavy lifting). The best part? Depending on what you use, painting them yourself might save you hundreds over hiring a professional. Pick up some nice wood doors and give them a go( or just add a lick of paint to your old ones)!

2) Replace those old faucets

The colour or finish of faucets can get dull and worn after years of use. Tired of looking at those old sink fixtures? You can get a completely new look just by updating the taps! YOu can pick brand new ones just by buying them online relatively inexpensively.

3) Get rid of old knobs/handles

Have you had your knobs and handles for a long time? Have they seen better days? If so, go out and buy some new ones. This is especially important if there are any broken knobs on cupboards or drawers. You can either call up a friend that is handy or just do it yourself. Either way, you’ll be helping to give yourself a fresh start. If you’re really wanting a new feel, perhaps you could even go as far as painting some of those walls white; it may not be an easy task but it will definitely liven up any old kitchen.

4) Update those boring appliances

The appliances that have been in your kitchen for years may be at a point where you need a change. Updating them is just another way to spruce up an older home. It can cost quite a bit of money, but it’s well worth it. While replacing old appliances isn’t something that should happen too often, updating them can really help clean up clutter and add appeal to an otherwise boring room. Appliances may not be something you think about on a daily basis, but they are something people see when they come into your home so they play an important role in cleaning up how visitors see your house. You should also think about decorating around these pieces so people see your style when coming into contact with these specific items.

5) Switch Up Those Countertops

If you really want to trick yourself into thinking you have a brand-new kitchen, think about changing out your countertops. You can get one inexpensively from a supplier and have a joiner fit it for you – it’s important that you find a good business to do this for you.
